Signing ceremony at the 10th China-South Asia Expo.
Overview
On June 13, Yunnan Energy Green New Materials Co., Ltd., a company under Yunnan Energy Group, signed a strategic purchase agreement valued at RMB 100 million with Vietnam Kim Thai Chemical Co., Ltd. during the opening-day signing ceremony of the 10th China-South Asia Expo.
The annual framework agreement covers PVC and silicone materials for Vietnam's construction market and downstream processing sectors. It represents the next stage of a relationship that began at the previous South Asia Expo.
A Partnership Built Step by Step
At the 9th China-South Asia Expo in 2025, the two companies met for the first time through a business-matching event supported by the Yunnan Department of Commerce. Yunnan Energy Green New Materials presented its silicone materials, industrial silicon and PVC product portfolio, while Kim Thai Chemical attended as a buyer.
Following the exhibition, the teams maintained close communication and conducted on-site customer visits, product sampling, testing and technical discussions in Vietnam. Initial orders were modest, ranging from several tonnes of PVC to dozens of tonnes of industrial silicon, but each shipment helped establish confidence in product consistency, delivery reliability and practical cooperation.
Expanding Cooperation in Southeast Asia
The new agreement reflects the mutual trust built through repeated technical exchanges and successful deliveries. For Yunnan Energy Green New Materials, it also marks continued progress in developing customer relationships in Southeast Asia.
The company will continue to provide reliable materials and responsive service to international customers, while strengthening long-term partnerships across regional markets.
